Illinois Lottery Winner Announces She’s Going to Disney World!

I don’t know about you, but I have often wondered what I would do if I won the lottery. Sure, the odds of winning are low, especially because I don’t buy tickets, but if money suddenly fell into my lap, what would I do?

Over the years, my answer has changed, When I was a child I claimed I would buy a room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and simply live there. While that still sounds pretty good to me, my lottery dreams are slightly more realistic these days.

If you are anything like me, however, winning the lottery would certainly include a trip to Walt Disney World, perhaps even with the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass!

Illinois Lottery Win Has Big Disney Plans

Well, an Illinois woman is getting the chance to live out my fantasy after winning $1.35 million playing the lottery.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, says she plans to take her family, including her grandchildren, to Disney World. The woman won the jackpot after buying two tickets through the Illinois Lottery app.

The first person she told was her husband.

“He yelled ‘What’s wrong?’ and I said ‘Look, I won!’ His eyes got huge, but then he thought it was a fluke – but it was real, I really did win!” she explained in a press release.

Living the Dream

It is a testament to the magic of Disney that so many lottery winners quickly turn their attention to Walt Disney World.

While I will likely never win the lottery, it is fun to dream about. Hope springs eternal.
