Bret Iwan Gives a Tour of Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney Community

A new chapter in Disney history is being written in California’s Coachella Valley, where developers are hard at work bringing Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community, to life.

The first Storyliving community to begin construction, Cotino will be a dream come true for Disney plans. The community was master-planned by Disney, designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, and staffed by Disney Cast Members. Residents will not only get to enjoy the luxuries, recreation, and community of Cotinio, but they will also get to live in a neighborhood infused with Disney magic.

“These master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to foster new friendships, pursue their interests, and write the next exciting chapter in their lives. All while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities.  And special touches that are Disney hallmarks,” Disney said when the project was announced.

The Latest On Cotino

Here at MickeyBlog, we have been closely following the development of Cotino, bringing you updates on each and every milestone in the community’s construction.

The last time we checked in, Disney had just announced that the Cotino community entry gate had officially been completed.

Today, fans were given a better look at the new entrance and some of the other points of interest inside Cotino in a new video shared by Disney.

Bret Iwan Takes a Tour

In the clip, Bret Iwan, the current voice of Mickey Mouse, takes guests on a tour of Cotinto showing off the front entry, Longtable Park, Artisan Club, and numerous homes that are under construction.

While taking Bret on tour, Storyliving executive Anthony Henry explained that the homes would be available to tour later this year. If you haven’t seen the clip yet, check it out now!

When completed, Cotino will include 1,932 planned homes around a 24-acre lagoon. According to Disney, individuals from around the country have shown interest in the Storyliving by Disney Community.

Cotino will open in 2025. I, for one, can’t wait!
