Disney World International Guests Can Now Reportedly Reserve Lightning Lane Attractions in Advance
When Disney rolled out its new Lightning Lane system in July, one of the biggest perks was that Walt Disney World guests could schedule their Lightning Lane attractions up to seven days before their arrival.
Under the old Genie+ system, guests had to wake up at the crack of dawn on the day of their park visit to make their attraction reservations. With the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, that was no longer an issue. Like FastPass+ before it, the new system allowed for more flexibility and less hassle.
While Disney World guests were understandably thrilled with the new perk, it turns out that only guests in the United States and Canada could make their selections in advance. Guests visiting Disney World from overseas had to wait until they were on U.S. soil.
Now, however, that policy appears to have changed.
International Guests Can Now Reserve Lightning Lane Attractions in Advance
According to reporter Scott Gustin, international guests planning a trip to Walt Disney World can now reserve their Lightning Lane attractions before arriving in the United States.
Some great news for international guests planning trips to Walt Disney World:
I’ve heard from several people in the last 24 hours who successfully prebooked Lightning Lanes before arriving in the US. If you’ve had problems in the past, give it another shot. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/oC0aR6KTba

While Disney has yet to make an official announcement about the policy change, numerous international guests have reportedly had success making their reservations.
Since launching the new Lightning Lane system at the end of July, Disney has shown that it will continue to tweak the process. Last week, Disney announced the launch of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, allowing guests to ride every Lightning Lane ride in a park once per day.
