Chris Hemsworth Is Reportedly in Talks to Star in Disney’s ‘Prince Charming’ Movie

Late last week, Deadline reported that Paddington director Paul King was developing a live-action Prince Charming movie for Disney.

While details on the project remain unclear, we know that Simon Farnaby, Jon Crocker, and King will write the script. Deadline also reported that the film would be live-action, not animated.

What remains unknown, however, is the film’s plot. In fact, it is not yet clear which Prince Charming the film will star. Though the most obvious candidate would be Cinderella’s love interest,  the moniker “Prince Charming” has also frequently been applied to the royal suitors in both Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (The Prince) and Sleeping Beauty (Prince Phillip).

While fans will have to wait and find out what Disney has in store for Prince Charming, unlike previous live-action Disney films, which lingered in purgatory before being abandoned, production seems to be moving ahead quickly.

In fact, a new report from The Insneider says that Marvel star Chris Hemsworth is in talks to portray the titular royal in the upcoming Prince Charming movie.

Hemsworth, of course, is no stranger to Disney, having played Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011’s Thor. He also starred in the Disney+ series Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.
