Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Room Refurbishment Has Been Extended Into Spring 2025
Earlier this year, Walt Disney World announced that guest rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter would undergo a fairly lengthy refurbishment.
As Disney always strives to keep its rooms pristine, refurbishments are routine and usually do not impact the guest experience. Traditionally, Disney refurbishes a resort’s rooms every seven years. As the Port Orleans — French Quarter rooms were last updated in 2018, they were due.
With that in mind, in April, Disney revealed that some guest rooms at Port Orleans — French Quarter would be unavailable from May 2024 through November 2024.
While Disney did not release details on the extent of the refurbishment, they did warn that “guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available.”
The Refurbishment Has Been Extended
If you check your calendar, you will see that November is now less than 10 days away. So, is the Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter refurbishment wrapping up?
Unfortunately, the latest update from Disney World is not encouraging.
According to Disney’s website, the room refurbishment has been extended and will now continue into Spring 2025.
At this time, Disney has not given a reason for the extension. The update simply continues to warn guests about possible noise from the work.
Hopefully, however, we get more clarity on the situation soon.
