Why Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Has Become One of My Favorite Places to Stay
In October 2022, I stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for the first time and quickly realized that I had been missing out on one of Disney World’s best hotels for years.
As someone who grew up in the 1990s, the resort’s homage to the Disney animated films of that decade was right up my alley. Additionally, with plenty of pools, an arcade, and a food court, the resort had everything I could need.
After realizing the errors in my ways, I became an Art of Animation convert.
With that in mind, I want to highlight some of the many reasons that you should consider the resort on your next Walt Disney World vacation.
Rooms Big Enough For the Whole Family
When I was young, my family of five would pile into a standard room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. That meant everyone was sharing a bed and one of us was on the floor.
At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, however, families can spread out and relax in the Cars Family Suite! The rooms comfortably sleep six and feature two full bathrooms, a kitchenette, three beds, and plenty of storage.
If you have any Cars fans in your family, they will also love the theming!
Theming, Theming, Theming
Speaking of theming, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has sections dedicated to The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars!
If you love Disney animation and have ever wanted to stroll through an Elephant Graveyard on your way to breakfast, this is the resort for you!
In addition to the resort’s three pools, there is also plenty of other activities to do, including animation lessons, cornhole, and a movie under the stars! Did I mention that the resort has an arcade? What could be better!
Landscape of Flavors
As someone who is always looking for a quick bite to eat, I adore the Landscape of Flavors food court. Whether I am getting a Little Mermaid waffle for breakfast, a pizza for lunch, or a cheeseburger for dinner, the food court is one of my favorite places to eat on property.
Through the My Disney Experience app, you can also Mobile Order your food, saving time and energy.
Finally, let’s talk soundtrack. Did you know that Landscape of Flavors plays all your favorite Disney songs from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and more?!
The food court even plays the Baha Men version of “Hakuna Matata” from DisneyMania! What could be better!
Fly High on the Disney Skyliner
Last but certainly not least, we have the Disney Skyliner. The Art of Animation Resort has its own Skyliner station, so guests can soar high above Walt Disney World to visit both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
The Disney Skyliner is the best way to travel about Walt Disney World, and staying at the Art of Animation Resort makes riding a breeze!
I can’t recommend The Art of Animation enough!
