Disney World Is Now Hiring Puppeteers For ‘The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure’ and ‘Festival of the Lion King’
While the opening of The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure has been delayed until 2025, Disney is seemingly hard at work on the attraction.
Last week, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit to begin work on the attraction’s marquee.
“As we continue to look forward to ‘The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure’ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we are taking the next steps and filing permits for an all-new marquee,” Disney stated at the time.
Now, Disney Live Entertainment is hiring puppeteers for the show!
A New Job Posting
In a new job listing, Disney Live Entertainment is seeking “energetic performers with puppetry experience for puppeteer roles within the Character Department at Walt Disney World.”
After noting that even puppeteers perform as fully-costumed Disney characters in the parks and resorts, Live Entertainment further explained the role they were looking for.

The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure Will Debut Next Year
While guests will have to wait a little longer than expected to experience The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure, Disney seems to be making progress on the show.

I, for one, can’t wait for it to debut!
