Disney World Introduces “Theater Show Magic” Effects For MagicBand+

If you have visited Walt Disney World in the last ten years or so, then you know that a MagicBand+ has become an integral part of every vacation.

Not only does the band serve as a room key, charge card, park ticket, and provide Lightning Lane access, but it also allows you to show off your Disney style! With hundreds of different MagicBand+ designs, there is the perfect fit for every Disney fan!

Just when I thought MagicBand+ could not get any cooler, Disney announced today that it is adding “theater show magic” to the MagicBand system.

Here is the latest.

New “Theater Show Magic” Effects Debut For MagicBand+

Beginning today, guests wearing a MagicBand+ will find their bands interact with lighting and vibration effects during various Walt Disney World stage shows. We have previously seen features like this at touchpoints, select attractions, and Walt Disney World nighttime spectaculars, but never during a stage show.

Now, MagicBand-wearing guests will get a little bit of extra Disney magic during performances of For the First Time in Forever: Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Beauty and the Beast—Live on Stage, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!
