A New Five-Legged Goat Magnet Has Arrived at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Among the Disney cast of characters, few are as unique or understandable as the mythical five-legged goat of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
For over 50 years, guests have been awed in wonder at the Mary Blair mural located inside the Contemporary’s Grand Canyon Concourse. The largest piece of work Mary Blair ever created, the mural looms large over the concourse, a testament to Blair’s incredible talent and the magic of Disney.
Painted in earth tones, the mural is an artistic representation of the Grand Canyon, with plenty of animals, foliage, and Native Americans. Among this collection of sights, however, one animal has stood out for decades now, grabbing guests’ attention with its unique look.
I am, of course, talking about the five-legged goat.
Who Is the Five-Legged Goat?
Located atop the mural, guests can find a goat with five legs. A favorite hidden gem of Disney fans, the animal has become something of a mascot for Disney’s Contemporary Resort over the years.
Blair allegedly included the 5-legged goat as a reminder that nothing made by human hands is perfect.
Whether or not that is true, the goat has become a fan favorite. Now, you can bring the iconic animal home with you!
