The Railroad Train Station is Under Refurbishment at Disneyland
We all love the Disneyland Railroad, right?
It’s quirky, it’s nostalgic, it’s fun, it’s loved by celebrities. It’s also the most welcoming sight to see as we approach Disneyland Park, ready for a day of magic and adventure!
Or, at least, it usually is.
Right now, the iconic Disneyland Railroad train station is under refurbishment, and the entire building is currently covered in scrim! Just look at this…
As you can see from the photos snapped by our reporters this weekend, the train station building, platform, and tracks are all under wraps, with machinery and hardworking maintenance workers busy at work to refurbish the area.
While this isn’t the prettiest the train station has looked, regular refurbishment efforts like this one are always important to ensure the ongoing safety, maintenance, and beauty of the attraction. They’ve got to keep the place spick and span!
Thankfully, that gorgeous Mickey floral display is still intact, meaning guests can continue to take beautiful photos upon entering the park.
Looking at the resort’s refurbishment calendar, it seems that the station and Disneyland Railroad itself will reopen on October 25th. But while the train will resume operations that date, the New Orleans Square station will remain closed for boarding/deboarding due to construction.
Do keep this in mind if you’re planning a Disneyland visit over the next few days, but our favorite train will be chugging along the tracks again in no time!
In the meantime, did you see that Sleeping Beauty Castle has received a sprinkling of snow? It looks like the park is getting ready for the holiday season, and we absolutely can’t wait to see the place looking ever-so festive and magical!
