Let’s Meet Some Characters at Disney California Adventure!
Have you ever heard of a Character Palooza?
Always a fantastic thing to stumble upon in a Disney Park, a Character Palooza is where a whole medley of Disney characters pop out to meet guests somewhere unexpected. They offer a brilliant chance for spontaneous interactions, and often feature characters you’re less likely to be able to see in other areas of the parks.
While visiting Disney California Adventure this weekend, our reporters happened upon one of these awesome paloozas, in which the most random-yet-fabulous collection of characters had assembled for a bit of an afternoon gathering.
Let’s see who they ran into!
A Party of a Palooza!
Of course, it was Mickey and Minnie Mouse leading the way at today’s character get-together, which took place at the Hollywood Backlot in Disney California Adventure.
With their fabulous wardrobes of seasonal and themed outfits, it’s almost quite rare to see Mickey and Minnie in their classic attire in the parks these days.
So, we loved the chance to snap a few pics with the duo here at Disneyland today – and Donald Duck even came out to join them, too!
Rarer Characters
Also attending this midday bash were Rafiki and Big Al.
Of course, these two characters can be found regularly in various parts of the Disney Parks, but never together nor out of their usual meeting spots!
Even more unexpectedly, we also ran into Perla, as well as one of the “Jolly Holiday” penguins!
It’s very unusual to see these two in the parks – unless you’re attending a special event or party. How exciting to spot them on a regular Saturday here at DCA!
While Character Paloozas like this one are never normally advertised on park schedules or maps, it’s always worth keeping an eye out on quieter spots such as the Hollywood Backlot in hopes that spontaneous, low-key gatherings like this will happen.
