Winter will wear you down. That’s an ironclad rule of the United States.
The overwhelming majority of people living in the continental US will grit their teeth and bear freezing cold temperatures.

Then, March will arrive, promising warmer weather, but it might be a false promise…unless you’re in Florida.

I recently discussed the best times to visit Disney World in 2025.
March is definitely one of them, although I didn’t phrase it as such. Instead, I called it Spring Break.

That should clarify why you’re most likely to consider a March trip to Disney World.
The reality is that parents with school-aged children don’t have much choice when it comes to spring vacations.

You travel when your child’s school schedule allows it, which is commendable of you.
For many parents, Spring Break will fall in March. For example, my local school system starts the holiday on March 17th, 2025.

Obviously, yours may differ by a couple of weeks, but most of them will fall in March. So, you’re visiting in March.
Meanwhile, people traveling without children still want to be at Disney, well, anytime.

Still, March holds unique appeal since it provides a potential escape from sustained cold weather.
We just never know what the weather will do these days. As proof, I got several inches of snow in March…and I live in the south.

Springtime in Orlando
The average temperature in March hovers in the mid-to high-60s.
High temperatures range from 65 to 86 degrees, while lows can fall anywhere between 45 to 69 degrees.

On average, the high temperature is typically 80 degrees, while the low is 61 degrees.
In short, you’ll experience sunny days and plenty of warm weather during your visit.

I say typically because we never really can say for sure.
Orlando experienced some unseasonable warmth and one unlikely cold spell last year.

Overall, Disney World was among the best places in the country for March weather, though.
Even when the weather is unnaturally warm, you’ll discover cloudy days.

According to WeatherSpark, about 60 percent of the days in March experience a fair amount of cloud cover.
So, you will have sunny days, but clouds come and go as well. And yes, some of them bring rain.

As far as Central Florida goes, March is one of the driest months, a fact few people realize.
On average, you’ll face rain showers about 25 percent of the time.
Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside
That means you’ll experience rain once every four days of your trip, which is another reason why this is a great month to visit.
Orlando is rarely that dry for an extended period of time.
What You Will Find at Disney in March
The big thing to know about Disney in March is that an EPCOT festival will occur.
In fact, Disney hosts its oldest festival each spring. In 2024, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival started on February 27th.

So, I presume that Disney will host the exhibition again on every day of March 2025, although I don’t have the dates yet.
What should you expect during this event? Frankly, it’s the best, in my opinion.
Beast & Belle topiaries
Disney Cast Members craft horticultural marvels. We’re talking shrubs that eerily resemble some of your favorite Disney characters.
You’ll believe in miracles once you realize someone can take bushes and turn them into a life-sized version of Lightning McQueen.

That’s not all, either. Cast Members recreate scenes from Fantasia, and Snow White dances with Dopey.

You may even find Baby Groot holding a cassette tape every bit as big as him or Beast asking Belle to dance. It’s all so magical.
On top of that, the festival offers exclusive merchandise, food, and drinks.

Some of them are one-time-only, meaning that if you don’t visit in 2025, you’ll miss your chance to try them.
The Flower & Garden Festival is EPCOT’s oldest tradition and a time I circle on my calendar as ideal for a Disney trip. You should, too.
What You Will Find in Central Florida in March
The clock is ticking down on a mega-event outside the Disney Bubble.
In May 2025, Universal Orlando Resort will open its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

While that won’t happen by the end of March, two of the new hotels will be up and running by March, giving you a reason to consider a dual vacation.
You’ll also find Mardi Gras festivities ongoing at Universal Studios throughout March.

Elsewhere in the area, the Orlando Magic will be trying to lock down a second straight playoff spot.
You’ll find several home games available in March 2025. Similarly, the Orlando City FC and Orlando Pride may play games as well.

Broadway fans can also catch MJ: The Musical and Mean Girls in March.
So, there are plenty of opportunities available, presuming you’re willing to leave the Disney Bubble, something I rarely do.
Final Thoughts
You’ll face a long, hard winter full of freezing cold weather and doomscrolling on social media.
Disney provides the respite you need as well as the promise of spring.

Even when the weather remains cold in your area, Disney will be warm, sunny, and shockingly lacking in rain.
In short, Disney is better for all kinds of personal reasons, and that’s true before we factor in all the theme park elements.

Orlando’s the top tourist destination in the country in terms of visits, and Disney World’s the secret sauce that makes it so.
