PHOTOS: Work Continues on the Test Track Refurbishment at EPCOT
Construction is continuing at EPCOT’s Test Track pavilion, which is undergoing a major renovation and will see a third version of the attraction open in 2025.
For those who don’t know, Test Track 3.0 was initially announced at last year’s Destination D23. The new attraction will take inspiration from the former World of Motion pavilion and celebrate humanity’s “enduring drive” towards a brighter tomorrow.
At August’s D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, Disney revealed that the new attraction will celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.

“New show scenes will be added showcasing technological advances and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone. Enjoy a joy ride through scenes focusing on onboard technology, customization, and personalization,” Disney explained.
“Followed by a trip through a scenic outdoor route reminding us all of the joys of driving, taking in the world around us and spending quality time with friends and family.”
The Latest Construction Update
With the pavilion’s construction now entering its fourth month, we are starting to see some major changes to the exterior of Test Track.
The biggest (and perhaps most celebrated) change has been the removal of the pavilion’s canopy.
Currently, it looks like crews are working on the pavilion’s entrance.
The sidewalk located outside Test Track has also been demolished.
Here is another view of the construction crews at work. They seem to be doing some major digging.
It is great to see the pavilion without the canopy. Disney is really embracing the World of Motion aesthetic.
When Will Test Track 3.0 Open?
Disney has not announced when Test Track will reopen. However, the ride should welcome guests next year!
