Reopening Date Announced For Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and More
In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, Walt Disney World has largely resumed normal operations.
Yesterday, Disney’s four theme parks and Disney Springs reopened to guests, showing minimal signs that a hurricane had blown through just days before.
Even Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park managed to reopen to Disney World hotel guests as clean-up crews continued to remove debris from the storm.
Looking at the resort in totality, only Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa have remained closed.
Now, however, we know when the Disney resorts will reopen.
The Latest From Walt Disney World
In an update late last night, Walt Disney World announced that both Fort Wilderness and Saratoga Springs will reopen on Sunday, October 13.
The resorts originally closed on October 7 in anticipation of Milton’s arrival. At the time, Fort Wilderness, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs were the first Disney closures in anticipation of the hurricane.
Disney Bounces Back From Milton
Now, just three days after Hurricane Milton blew through Walt Disney World, the resort will be back up and running at full capacity.
While it has been estimated that Disney lost between $150 and $200 million due to Milton, Walt Disney World has bounced back in impressive fashion.
