Typhoon Lagoon Reopens Exclusively to Disney World Resort Guests
In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, Walt Disney World announced yesterday that its four theme parks (and Disney Springs) would officially reopen today.
While guests were understandably thrilled with the news, Disney’s update did not give any information on the status of Typhoon Lagoon.
In lieu of an announcement that the water park was reopening, many assumed that Typhoon Lagoon would remain closed as Disney cleaned up the fallout from Milton.
The Calendar Reads “Special Ticket Event”
A quick look at the Walt Disney World calendar, however, revealed something interesting — Typhoon Lagoon’s hours for today are labeled as a “Special Ticketed Event” from 10AM to 5PM.
As it turns out, Typhoon Lagoon IS open today, but only to Walt Disney World hotel guests.
Typhoon Lagoon IS Open Today
The Cast Member we talked to at Magic Kingdom explained that Typhoon Lagoon is operating today for resort guests only. However, due to the mess caused by Hurricane Milton, not all of the park’s offerings will be available.
Crews are still cleaning up parts of the water park as we speak.
If everything goes well, however, Typhoon Lagoon could reopen to all guests tomorrow.
By the sound of things, the “Special Ticketed Event” designation will continue until the park is fully operational and open to everyone again.
