Due in part to the 2023 Hollywood strikes, Lilo & Stitch has been delayed until 2025. Now, the studio has given the Dean Fleischer Camp film a firm release date.
What Fans Can Expect From ‘Lilo and Stitch’
The upcoming remake of the 2002 animated movie will star Maia Kealoha, Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Magnussen. Lilo & Stitch tells the story of “the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction. Pursuing aliens, social workers, and the idea of the bond of a family figure into the proceedings.”
“Again, it’s a story about connection, and a kid trying to find a friend, and all you can do is approach a project like that with love. I am so grateful and honored to be a part of that project,” Magnussen told GamesRadar earlier this year.
