Theme Park Reservations Booking Up Ahead of Disney World Reopening
Hurricane Milton just swept through Disney World, causing the parks and some resorts to close. The theme parks shut down on Wednesday, October 9th, and remain closed today, October 10th.
The parks will be opening back up tomorrow, and it looks like people are already jumping at the opportunity to visit!
Theme Park Reservations Booking Up
Theme park reservations are getting booked up for tomorrow at Disney World! Magic Kingdom is sold out for both regular theme park ticket holders…
…and guests of Disney World hotels. EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom are all still available as of this writing.
For Annual Passholders, things are a bit more complicated! All of the parks are booked up for tomorrow…
…except for Animal Kingdom.
A few things could be going on here, and they’re not necessarily mutually exclusive.
One, Disney could be limiting capacity in anticipation for lower crowds due to the hurricane. Two, many local Annual Passholders are trying to take advantage of the likely low crowds at the parks tomorrow due to the hurricane. And three, people who were on vacation and stuck at Disney World through the storm want to visit Magic Kingdom before heading home.
If you’re on a Disney World vacation right now with a multi-day theme park ticket and can’t get to the parks tomorrow or before you leave to go home, don’t worry — Disney has extended those tickets through October 11th, 2025, so you can use them anytime within the next year!
If you are an Annual Passholder who wants to visit the parks tomorrow, I would suggest making your theme park reservation for Animal Kingdom while you still can and then park hopping to any of the other parks you want to visit.
Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
