Orlando International Airport Provides Update Following Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton officially blew through Central Florida overnight, bringing flooding, intense winds, heavy rains, and damage.
Though the hurricane has passed through, local businesses and operations are assessing the situation and hoping to get up and running as soon as possible.

Orlando International Airport ceased commercial operations on Wednesday morning due to Hurricane Milton, and just provided an update.

Operational Update #7 – Hurricane Milton
Emergency crews remained onsite overnight, and damage assessment will start taking place now. The Orlando airport shared that the emergency crews were stationed on-site overnight and that a damage assessment is underway now. The airport will monitor the situation and provide updates and a specific time for when commercial operations resume.
At this time all Orlando theme parks including Walt DIsney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Orlando Resort, are closed as over night crews begin assessing damage and cleaning up.
The hurricane and tropical storm weather conditions have passed, but locals and guests are encouraged to shelter indoors this morning.
Additional Airports Impacted
Hurricane Milton is causing numerous flight cancellations across the country. According to the tracking service FlightAware, 1,970 flights within, into, or out of the United States were canceled on Wednesday, and over 2,300 were delayed.

As of this morning, over 2,200 U.S. flights were canceled and over 400 were delayed.
