Bob Iger Shares Well Wishes For Florida Ahead of Hurricane Milton’s Arrival
With Hurricane Milton bearing down on Florida, millions of the state’s residents are bracing for impact.
Based on the current forecasts, Milton will make landfall on Florida’s west coast later tonight before traveling through Central Florida on its way to the Atlantic Ocean.
In preparation for the storm, Walt Disney World announced yesterday that its parks will close early today and likely remain shuttered through tomorrow. Additionally, Disney has canceled a Friday sailing of the Disney Wish and adjusted its cancelation and change fees policy.
Goldman Sachs has estimated that Disney will lose between $150 and $200 million due to the storm.
Bob Iger Expresses His Well Wishes
As Florida prepares to bunker down, Disney CEO Bob Iger took to Instagram to share his well wishes with Floridians and encourage everyone to stay safe.
“To everyone in Florida in Hurricane Milton’s path, including our Disney colleagues and their families, please stay safe!” he wrote.
