American Crocodile Exhibit Appears to be Closed in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
One of the best parts of Animal Kingdom at Disney World is all the animals you can check out! There are lions, tigers, gorillas, zebras, giraffes, and sooo much more.
Sometimes, not all of the animals are available to see, though. That is the case right now for one particular animal in the park!
American Crocodile Exhibit Closed
The American Crocodile exhibit appears to be closed over in DinoLand U.S.A.
We stopped by today and noticed that the water has been drained from the small pond, the plaque is missing, and the American Crocodile is nowhere to be seen.
This could be a temporary change or a permanent one as Disney prepares to start construction on DinoLand and transition the land into the Tropical Americas. Disney has not mentioned anything about the status of the crocodile.
Construction is supposed to begin on the land this fall, but no official date was announced. Disney also said the construction would be happening in stages — not all at once.

Tropical Americas is expected to have an Indiana Jones attraction, an Encanto attraction, and a special character carousel.

If you’re really wanting to see some crocodiles while you’re in Animal Kingdom, head on over to Kilimanjaro Safaris where you can see the giant crocodiles during the attraction. This is a different kind of croc, but it’s the closest you’re going to get in the park!
