‘Inside Out 2’ Smashes Streaming Records Just Days After Debuting on Disney+
After dominating the summer box office and becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time, Inside Out 2 has arrived on streaming with a bang.
According to Disney, the latest Pixar blockbuster has shattered even more records after debuting on Disney+ last week.
Inside Out 2 delivered 30.5 million views globally in its first five days of streaming. That number gives the film the biggest premiere on Disney+ this year and the best debut since 2021’s Encanto. Additionally, Inside Out 2 has had the best Disney+ premiere EVER in EMA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and Latin America.

For those who don’t know, Disney calculates views by taking the total minutes streamed and dividing by runtime.
While Inside Out 2 has dominated streaming since its debut, the film’s theatrical run also spiked interest in the first Inside Out film. Since the Inside Out 2 trailer premiered, Inside Out has been viewed over 121 million times on Disney+.
A Home Run For Disney and Pixar
Released on June 12, 2024, Inside Out 2 took audiences back to Headquarters, where Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear must help Riley through her greatest challenge yet — puberty.

Directed by Kelsey Mann, Inside Out 2 was lauded by critics and fans alike, who felt that the film was a worthy successor to the original film. Inside Out 2 eventually grossed $1.68 billion at the worldwide box office.
