PHOTOS: A New Look is Coming to the Front Gates of Disneyland
It is an exciting time at Disneyland Resort, as the theme park is undergoing extensive refurbishments right now.
As you approach the beloved theme park, guests can see tarps and scaffolding surrounding the Disneyland Railroad, which is temporarily closed.
Inside Magic Kingdom on Main Street, green walls block the refurbishment happening at Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow.
More Walls? Yep! Refurbishment is also happening at Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion Gift Shop.
In addition, the front gates are also getting a new look and an update. Let’s check out what is happening at the front of the park!
A New Look
The trees are being replaced for a new look at the front entrance gate.
This is what the trees looked like before. The “original trees” are surrounded by bright flowers and an iron fence.
These older trees are being removed from the front of the Disneyland gates, and new trees are being placed a few feet back.
Here is another look:
The trees are currently being installed and surrounded by small green tarps. MickeyBlog is following the progress and can’t wait to see the final look.
More Updates
This is just one update happening near the front. Earlier this year, Disneyland announced that it would also update its turnstiles with new automated entry gates at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.
These new gates are ADA-compliant and allow ECVs, wheelchairs, and strollers to pass through the turnstiles easily. Work on the turnstiles will begin on October 7th.
