Disney Cruise Line Weather Update For Disney Wish
Hurricane Helene is fast approaching Florida as a category 3 hurricane as of Thursday afternoon. Prepared to make landfall today, the storm is expected to create storm surges, intense wind, rain, flooding, and damaging winds.
The approaching hurricane has impacted most of Florida, as well as ports, cruise ships, and their itineraries.
MickeyBlog reported earlier on the closing of Port Canaveral and itinerary updates for the Disney Fantasy. DCL has also released an update for the Disney Wish.
Hurricane Update
Disney Cruise Line is making operational adjustments due to the approaching hurricane. The Disney Wish is scheduled to arrive at the port later than scheduled.
DCL is also asking cruise ship guests sailing on Friday to arrive at the terminal 5 hours later than the selected arrival time but no later than 7 p.m.
Disney Cruise Line shared additional information this afternoon on their website:
As of September 26, at 10:30 AM we continue to make necessary operational adjustments following Hurricane Helene. Disney Wish is arriving to Port Canaveral on Friday, September 27, 2024, later than originally scheduled. We ask that Disney Wish Guests sailing on Friday, September 27, postpone their arrival to the terminal by five (5) hours after their selected port arrival time, but no later than 7:00 PM. Guests will not be able to access the cruise terminal or parking facility in Port Canaveral until four (4) hours after their selected port arrival time.
