‘Sunday Night Baseball’ Delivers Record Ratings For ESPN
In an ever-shifting media landscape that has seen more and more consumers cut the cord and switch to streaming, ESPN has continued to deliver strong ratings throughout 2024.
Since late 2023, ESPN has generated record-breaking viewership numbers with its presentations of Monday Night Football, NCAA football, and women’s college basketball.

Now, the network has even more good news to share.
‘Sunday Night Baseball’ Delivers Strong Ratings
With the Major League Baseball season drawing to a close at the end of the week, the Worldwide Leader in Sports has announced that the 2024 season delivered the most-watched Sunday Night Baseball season in five years.

Over the course of the 2024 season, Sunday Night Baseball drew 1,505,000 viewers across its 25 games. That number was the highest since 2019 and up six percent from last year.
Additionally, Sunday Night Baseball saw growth in numerous key demographics, including Adults 18-25 (up 26%), Women 18-24 (up 16%), and Adults 18-34 (up 12 %).

Notably, the strong MLB ratings came amid extended blackouts of Disney-owned channels on both Charter Spectrum and DirecTV.
Live Sports Continue to Deliver
Even as linear television continues to decline, ESPN has managed to deliver a record-breaking 2024. As the Worldwide Leader in Sports prepares to jump head-first into streaming, live sports will continue to be the bedrock of the station’s programming.
