ICONIC DISNEY SNACKS: Classic Turkey Legs
If you don’t get to visit Disney World often, your snack choices are important. You can’t possibly fit them all into one trip (trust us, we’ve tried), so how do you know what’s worth your time?
To help you decide what snacks are must-eats, we’ve been reviewing iconic bites around the resort, like Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Cheshire Cat Tail from Magic Kingdom, and the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. And today, we’re trying a classic that you’ll either love or hate–there is no in-between.
Turkey Leg
Today, we’re reviewing the classic Turkey Leg, which you can find at various snack carts and dining locations around Magic Kingdom and EPCOT! This is one of the most iconic snacks in Disney World, with most guests having very strong feelings about it.
If you’re grabbing this snack, prepare for grease. The Turkey Leg is very greasy, which is a common complaint. (Not everyone seems to be deterred by this, however.)
The skin is a bit tough, so you may find yourself needing a knife to cut through it. Once you get through the skin, the meat is salted and roasted. (If you think it tastes like ham, you’re definitely not alone–many parkgoers agree with you.)
Overall, if you’re a meat lover and enjoy eating off the bone, this is a snack you’ll want to grab. But if you’re in the mood for a turkey that tastes like turkey, we suggest skipping this one.
We’re not done reviewing all the iconic snacks around the resort, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com as we continue digging in!
