Check Out the Newest Change to Disney’s Disability Access Service
Disney provides many accommodations in both Disney World and Disneyland Resort, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the magic.
While the accommodations offered to guests in need may vary depending on circumstances, Disney hopes to give all guests the ability to experience the parks to their fullest extent. One of those accommodations is their Disability Access Service (DAS)–which just received another change.
New DAS Change
DAS is a service Disney offers guests with developmental disabilities who cannot wait in traditional queues. DAS provides these guests with a return time for their desired attraction, comparable to the time they’d reach the front of the conventional queue if they waited in line.
This service has sparked some debate recently due to its new, strict approval guidelines, and Disney just implemented another change for both Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Now, the validity period for the service will shift to 240 days, or the length of the ticket–whichever is shorter. Once the service has expired, guests must re-register for the program.
The service received some changes over the past year, including the shift in eligibility that left many previous DAS users excluded from the program. We’ll keep an eye on the DAS program and let you know if any additional changes are made.
