WATCH: The First ‘Thunderbolts*’ Trailer Has Arrived!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will see the formation of a new kind of super-team when Thunderbolts* arrives in theaters on April 30, 2025.
Under the watchful eye of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julie Louis-Dreyfus), the new team will be comprised of Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and U.S. Agent ( Wyatt Russell).

Unlike the clean-cut Avengers, the Thunderbolts are comprised of anti-heroes and former villains from across the MCU. Now, fans can finally get a glimpse of the team in action as the first trailer for the film has arrived.
“Careful Who You Assemble”
The Thunderbolts* trailer begins with Yelena Belova recruiting her “father,” Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian.

“There is something wrong with me. An emptiness. I’m just drifting, and I don’t have a purpose,” Yelena explains as images of John Walker and Bucky Barnes flash on the screen. “I thought throwing myself into work was the answer.”

The trailer then cuts to an epic fight between Yelena, Taskmaster Ghost, and John Walker. They are surprised to find another man in the room, who introduces himself as Bob. Suddenly, the doors around them close.
“Everyone here has done bad things. Shadow ops, robbing government labs, contract kills,” Yelena explains. “Someone wants us gone.”

As the Thunderbolts finally assemble on screen, they confront Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

“We’re brought up with this belief that there are good guys, and there are bad guys,” Fontaine says. “But eventually, you come to realize that there are bad guys, and there are worse guys, and nothing else.”
