Mobile Ordering Is Unavailable at Disney World as Disney’s Technical Difficulties Continue
Earlier this morning, we reported that the payment systems on the My Disney Experience app and Disney’s websites were down.
As the parks had yet to open, the biggest inconvenience for guests was that they could not purchase Lightning Lane Passes for the day.
With Disney World’s four parks now open and operating, however, guests are now facing even more challenges.
Mobile Ordering Is Down
Mobile ordering is down throughout Walt Disney World as part of the larger technical difficulties plaguing the resort.
When going to order food in the My Disney Experience app, guests receive an error message that reads:
“Either there are no mobile order locations currently available here or none that match your search filters. If you selected filters, try searching again with different filters.”
The technical difficulties with the Disney payment systems have also prevented the use of gift cards and rewards cards.
The Current Situation
Disney World’s dining locations are currently only accepting credit cards, cash, or the Disney Dining Plan.
Guests are being informed of the situation both when they walk into restaurants and before they order.
It is unclear how long the Disney payment systems will be down, though we know Disney is aware of the issue and has been working on it for hours.
Hopefully, we get an update soon.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to monitor the situation and report back with any news.
