ICONIC DISNEY SNACKS: Chicken Fried Rice from Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes
We’ve been revisiting iconic Disney snacks to see what beloved classics remain a step above the rest.
So far, we’ve reviewed snacks like Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Cheshire Cat Tail from Magic Kingdom, and the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. And today, we’re heading back to Animal Kingdom to try yet another iconic snack!
Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes
Don’t have time for a sit-down meal at Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Animal Kingdom? No worries–head next door to Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes to grab a quick bite!
The menu is full of delicious options–entrees, sides, desserts, kids’ meals, drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
There’s so much to try, but today we’re only here for the Chicken Fried Rice.
Chicken Fried Rice
The regular side of Chicken Fried Rice is $7.99, while the snack portion–according to the friendly Cast Member we spoke to–is only available if you’re using a Dining Plan. Our fried rice came in a small box, which makes it a great on-the-go snack!
Let’s dig in! It’s a good portion size for a side dish, but it’s definitely not filling enough to be a whole meal. With that said, we recommended grabbing this side dish to hold you over between meals.
Our only critiques? It’s a bit heavy on the soy sauce and we wish there were more vegetables. But, it’s still a solid option that we’ll keep grabbing when we’re in the mood for fried rice on the go!
So grab a side of fried rice the next time you pass through the area! And keep following along as we continue reviewing iconic snacks around Disney World!
