ICONIC DISNEY SNACKS: Chicken Dumplings and Seasoned Fries from Mr. Kamal’s

Hello from Disney World! We’re eating our way through the parks, so you know what items are a hit…and what items are a miss.

We’re currently reviewing iconic snacks around the resort, like Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Cheshire Cat Tail from Magic Kingdom, the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and even the Mickey Beignets from Scat Cat’s Club – Café. And today, we’re returning to Animal Kingdom to revisit another classic!

Mr. Kamal’s is a quick-service kiosk located in Animal Kingdom.

Here, guests can order from a small menu that includes snacks, sodas, water, and alcoholic beverages.

Today, we’re trying two of their menu items that have been deemed “iconic” by parkgoers (and their stomachs)—the Chicken Dumplings and Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries!

We grabbed the Chicken Dumplings for $6.79 and Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries for $6.49. Let’s dig in and see if they’re still worth a bite!

The seasoned fries are a decent portion for the price, and, in our humble opinion, are better than the traditional fries you can find around the resort. They taste like Cajun-seasoned fries–with the perfect amount of seasoning (which has a kick).

The sauce tastes like it’s primarily mayonnaise, which may not be everyone’s favorite. However, the dish is delightful, and the fry-to-sauce ratio is ideal. (However, if you’re a fan of fries smothered in sauce, you may want to ask for an extra cup!)

Onto the Chicken Dumplings! You get three fried dumplings, served (to us, at least) hot and crunchy.

Like the fries, the dumplings are well-seasoned, so you could easily eat them without a sauce. It’s a small portion, to be fair, so it makes a great snack in between meals!

Overall, we think these are still amazing snack options in the park and recommend you head here during your next visit!
