FULL LIST of Single Rider Lines in Disney World
Flying solo in Disney World is a freeing experience.
Sure, those big multigenerational group trips have plenty of perks — but visiting on your own is the PERFECT opportunity to do Disney World YOUR way, at your own pace. It’s your chance to stay where you want, eat what you want, and generally just…DO whatever YOU want!
Want to stop for one (or three!) of those iconic Disney World snacks? Go ahead, it’s YOUR trip! Want to skip long lines at some of Disney World’s biggest attractions? Step right on up — NOW is your chance!
In case you weren’t aware, one of the BIGGEST perks to doing Disney World solo is using Disney’s Single Rider lines. Single Rider lines are separate lines for guests willing to ride as a single rider, instead of sitting with friends or family.
Unsurprisingly, these lines tend to move MUCH faster than the regular Stand-by Lines — AND they’re free to use, unlike Disney World’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass.
If you’re not technically traveling solo, GOOD NEWS! You don’t actually have to be visiting alone to utilize Disney’s Single Rider lines.
These lines are also great for anyone who wants to save time in line and doesn’t mind splitting up from their group to ride. Note that while you CAN wait in the Single Rider line with your party, you will NOT be seated together — even if you ask a Cast Member.
So which Disney World attractions offer a Single Rider line? Let’s find out!
Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
Looming over the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is an adventure waiting to happen!
The Single Rider line for Expedition Everest is a permanent fixture at the attraction, but that doesn’t mean it’s always open for use.
On busier days, you may arrive to find the Single Rider line closed. However, this Single Rider line is generally open and available on a daily basis.
Expedition Everest’s Single Rider line entrance is a little off the beaten track — you won’t find it out front of the attraction with the Stand-By and Lightning Lane lines.
Instead, you’ll find the Single Rider line entrance just off the side of the main entrance, near the gift shop.
If you have trouble locating it, just ask a Disney Cast Member for help. They’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to some serious thrills (and a couple of chills!).
Chief among them is Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith, which launches riders from 0 to 60 in under THREE seconds. It’s also the only rollercoaster in Disney World that will turn you upside down!
Like many of the thrilling attractions in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster can see some pretty lengthy wait times.
Luckily, the popular attraction offers a convenient Single Rider line.
Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster’s Single Rider line is located at the front of the attraction, to the right of the regular Stand-By and Lightning Lane lines.
This one is generally open daily, and is a great way to save time in line!
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Way over on the other side of the galaxy lies Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. You’ll find it near Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This interactive, intergalactic adventure tends to draw long lines, especially during busier times. Fortunately, the Single Rider line (sometimes!) offers a simple solution!
Located at the attraction’s main entrance, the Smugglers Run Single Rider line can be a bit hit or miss.
If you’re visiting on a day when the line is in use, you’re in luck! Step right up for a chance to ride with minimal wait!
Other Single Rider Line Opportunities
Expedition Everest, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run are the only attractions that CURRENTLY offer Single Rider lines in Disney World.
As a reminder, however, these Single Rider lines aren’t always open — so your mileage may vary.
However, there are two more Disney World rides that are worth a mention on this list.
Test Track Presented by Chevrolet
While EPCOT’s Test Track is currently closed for refurbishment, this fan-favorite attraction has historically offered a Single Rider line for guests willing to ride solo.
There’s no way of knowing whether the Single Rider Line will be offered again once the attraction re-opens, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a reappearance!
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Finally, Disney tested a Single Rider line at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance earlier this summer.
Since the attraction was not originally developed with a Single Rider line in mind, the line was a bit winding when we tried it out in July. Regardless, it got us to the front of the line in no time — despite missing out on a portion of the pre-shows.
Considering the staggering wait times we see regularly at this attraction, a Single Rider line would be a SERIOUSLY convenient addition to the ride — and we can’t help but hope that this becomes a permanent change!
