WATCH: New Documentary Unveils the Real-Life Town Behind the Beloved ‘Halloweentown’ Franchise
Just in time for spooky season, the first trailer for The Spirit of Halloweentown has arrived!
The upcoming documentary will take viewers to St. Helens, Organ, where the cult-classic Halloweentown franchise was filmed in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
For fans of a certain age, Halloweentown is the quintessential Halloween film franchise. The first movie follows 13-year-old Marnie Piper, who discovers she is from a family of witches. Sneaking away with her grandmother Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) to the mythical Halloweentown, the young girl learns of a threat to the supernatural world. Marnie must help Aggie fight the dark magic while coming to grips with her new powers.

Originally released as a Disney Channel Original Movie, Halloweentown was a big success for Disney. Eventually, the film spawned three sequels, becoming a Halloween tradition for millions of fans.
