ALL About the Resort Hotel Swimming Pools Around Disney World
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, one of the main things you have to figure out is where you’re going to stay. Many people opt to stay on Disney property at one of their resort hotels, but how do you choose which one is right for you?
Well, there are a lot of different factors to consider, like location, price point, and amenities. Some of the main amenities are the pools available at each hotel, and they’re definitely something you should consider when making your decision.
So, let’s take a look at all of the swimming pools at the Disney World Resort Hotels!
All the Swimming Pools at Disney World Hotels
Value Resorts
Art of Animation
First up, we have Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is located in the Wide World of Sports Resort Area. This Value resort has three different pools to choose from!
The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool in ALL of Disney World and it’s inspired by Finding Nemo. It’s a zero-entry pool that also has the Schoolyard Sprayground, which is a kids splash pad area.
The other two pools are the Cozy Cone Pool, which is inspired by Pixar’s Cars and has cone-shaped cabanas, and the Flippin’ Fins Pool, which is inspired by The Little Mermaid and an under the sea orchestra.
Pop Century
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is located across from Art of Animation and is themed to different decades in pop culture. The main pool is the Hippy Dippy Pool, which is shaped like a far-out flower and has decor inspired by the 1960s. There’s also a kiddie pool nearby!
The resort also has the Bowling Pool, which is shaped like a bowling pin and themed to the 1950s, and the Computer Pool, which is shaped like a computer, themed to the 1990s, and has a giant floppy disc and keypad.
All-Star Sports
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area and has two different pools. The first is the Surfboard Bay Pool which is designed to make you feel like you’re at the beach! It’s surrounded by 3-story surfboards and has a kiddie pool located behind Stadium Hall.
There is also the Grand Slam Pool, which is shaped like a baseball diamond and features Goofy on a pitchers mound! There is a sundeck designed like an outfield and the area is lined by 3-story baseball bats.
All-Star Movies
Also located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area is All-Star Movies Resort, which has two pools — the Fantasia Pool and the Duck Pond Pool. The Fantasia Pool is inspired by Disney’s Fantasia and is home to the Sorcerer Mickey Fountain and a smaller kiddie pool and water play area.
The Duck Pond Pool is inspired by The Mighty Ducks and resembles a hockey rink!
All-Star Music
Finally, we’ve got Disney’s All-Star Music Resort in this area. This resort has the Calypso Pool which is shaped like a guitar! A Three Caballeros fountain is in the middle that shoots water out at swimmers, there are giant bongos and maracas around the pool, and there’s a kiddie pool behind Melody Hall.
There is also the Piano Pool, which is shaped like a grand piano with black and white keys!
Moderate Resorts
Port Orleans — Riverside
Moving on the Moderate Resorts, let’s start with Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside. This is in the Disney Springs Resort Area and has one major pool located on Ol’ Man Island.
This is a 3.5 acre refuge with a swimmin’ hole that’s designed to look like an abandoned sawmill. It has a 95-foot-long waterslide, a whirlpool tub, and a kiddie pool!
There are also five leisure pools around the resort — three of them are in Alligator Bayou and two are in Magnolia Bend. These are smaller, more relaxing, and do not have lifeguards on duty.
Port Orleans — French Quarter
Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter (located right next to Port Orleans — Riverside) is home to Dubloon Lagoon! This is themed to Mardi Gras and has an alligator band and a 51-foot-long blue sea serpent water slide, Dubloon Lagoon Water Play Area, and a whirlpool spa.
Guests at French Quarter also have the option of enjoying the pools over at Port Orleans — Riverside.
Coronado Springs
Located over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area, Coronado Springs Resort has the Lost City of Cibola Pool! This is themed to be a dig site of Mayan Ruins with a 50-foot high pyramid, a 123-foot-long waterslide, and the largest hot tub on Disney World property (it fits 22 people!).
There are also three leisure pools, one located in each settlement — the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas.
Caribbean Beach
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is in the EPCOT Resort Area and is home to the Fuentes del Morro Pool. This is a zero-entry pool themed to be a pirates paradise as a colonial Spanish fortress. There are two waterslides, one being 102-feet long, man of war water cannons, a shipwreck play area with mini slides and more, and a 12-person spa pool.
There are also five smaller leisure pools at this resort, one in each village — Martinique, Barbados, Jamaica, Aruba, and Trinidad.
Deluxe & Deluxe Villa Resorts
Grand Floridian
Now, let’s talk about the Deluxe Resorts at Disney World! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area and features the Beach Pool. This pool overlooks Seven Seas Lagoon, has a 181-foot-long waterslide, waterfalls, zero-entry, a walking bridge, cabanas, and a kids splash pad area.
There is also the Courtyard Pool, which is zero-entry and has some whirlpool spas.
Contemporary & Bay Lake Tower
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area and is home to the regular Contemporary Resort as well as Bay Lake Tower, the Disney Vacation Club property. You can check out the Feature Pool, which has a 17-foot-high waterslide, poolside cabanas, and a futuristic water playground.
Then, there is the Bay Lake Pool which is a leisure pool overlooking Bay Lake. This area is also home to two hot tubs.
Over at Bay Lake Tower, you can find Bay Cove Pool, which is zero-entry, has a 148-foot-long waterslide, a whirlpool spa, and a water play area.
Polynesian Village
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area and is home to the Lava Pool! This pool has a towering volcano, a waterfall, zero-entry, a kids play area, and a 142-foot-long waterslide.
There is also the Oasis Pool, which is a quieter pool nestled amid a lush garden.
Note that the Island Tower Disney Vacation Club property is currently being built at the Polynesian Resort and will open later this year. This spot will be home to the Cove Pool and Moana’s Voyage, a nearby kids splash pad area.
Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area and features the Copper Creek Springs Pool. This pool is surrounded by nature, has a 67-foot waterslide, hot and cold whirlpool spas, and the Copper Creek Springs Kiddie Pool Activity Play Area.
There is also the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool which is nestled within Boulder Ridge. It’s a zero-entry pool with a whirlpool spa and six shaded seating areas!
The Campsites & Cabins at Fort Wilderness
Fort Wilderness Resort is now considered a Deluxe Resort since the cabins were renovated and is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. It’s home to the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool which has a 67-foot-long corkscrew waterslide, a whirlpool spa, and a fort-themed water play area with kid-friendly slides.
There is also the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool which is a leisure pool that also has a whirlpool spa.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge is in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area and has two pain pool areas. The first is Uzima Springs Pool which faces the Uzima Savanna, is zero-entry, and has a 67-foot-long waterslide.
The other pool is located in Kidani Village, the Disney Vacation Club area of the resort. The Samawati Springs Pool has a 128-foot waterslide, zero-entry, and is home to Uwanja Camp, the kids water playground with three different areas — Observation Station, Departure Zone, and Base Camp.
Yacht & Beach Club
Disney’s Yacht & Beach Clubs are located in the EPCOT Resort Area and share a pool complex and amenities. They’re home to Stormalong Bay, which is a 3-acre sand-bottomed pool with a shipwreck replica, 230-foot-long waterslide, lazy river, and three whirlpool spas. They also have Shipwreck Pool, which is a kids pool area with a mini waterslide!
The resorts also have three leisure pools — the Tidal Pool, which is in the garden area of Beach Club facing Crescent Lake, Admiral Pool, which is in the garden area of Yacht Club, and Dunes Cove Pool, which is located at the Beach Club Villas. All of these pools have whirlpool spas and are open to all hotel guests.
Boardwalk Inn
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort is located in the EPCOT Resort Area and is home to the Luna Park Pool. This is a carnival-themed pool inspired by a 1920s amusement park and features a 200-foot-long waterslide, a whirlpool spa, and a kiddie pool.
There are also two leisure pools. One is south of the Luna Park Pool and the other is on the East side of the hotel. Both have whirlpool spas.
Riviera
Disney’s Riviera Resort is in the EPCOT Resort Area and has two pools. The first is the Riviera Pool which has a pool slide around a column tower and the S’il Vous Play interactive water play area, which is inspired by the grand public fountains of Europe with Fantasia characters!
There is also the Beau Soleil Pool, which is a more soothing pool setting.
Old Key West
Disney’s Old Key West Resort is in the Disney Springs Resort Area and is home to the Sandcastle Pool, which has a 125-foot-long waterslide through a giant sandcastle, a sand beach, a whirlpool spa, a kiddie pool, and a dry sauna inside the lighthouse!
There are also three leisure pools (each with a whirlpool spa) located at Old Turtle Pond, South Point, and Miller’s Road.
Saratoga Springs
Finally, let’s talk about Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort! This resort is located in the Disney Springs Resort Area and features High Rock Spring Pool, which has zero-entry, waterfalls, a 128-foot-long waterslide, two whirlpool spas, and a Donald Duck play area with a mini waterslide.
There is also Paddock Pool, which has a 146-foot-long waterslide that come from atop a water tower, zero-entry, a horseshoe-shaped whirlpool spa, and an aquatic kids play area with two small waterslide.
There are also three leisure pools, each with a whirlpool spa, located at the Treehouse Villas, Congress Park, and the Grandstand.
Other Disney World Resort Hotels
Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, & Swan Reserve
We also want to mention the pools at some of the resorts on Disney World property that aren’t actually owned by Disney. The Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve hotels are located in the EPCOT Resort Area and have access to many different pools in the complex.
There is the outdoor pool at the Swan Reserve, and then there is the 3-acre Grotto Pool between the Swan and Dolphin hotels. This Grotto Pool has lush greenery, waterfalls, rock caves, and a twisting waterslide. There are also two lap pools, a spring pool, four whirlpools, and a kiddie pool.
Four Seasons
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort has the 5-acre Explorer Island Water Park as well as an adults only pool for a more relaxing vibe.
