A Real-Life Version of ‘The Incredibles’ Parr House Is Coming to Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney Community
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that we have been closely following the development of Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney Community.
A new era in Disney history is unfolding as construction on Cotino is underway in California’s Coachella Valley.
For those who haven’t heard, Cotino will be master-planned by Disney, designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, and staffed by Disney Cast Members. Essentially, residents will have the opportunity to live within the Disney magic!

“These master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to foster new friendships, pursue their interests, and write the next exciting chapter in their lives. All while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities, and special touches that are Disney hallmarks,” Disney said.
The last time we checked in on the development of Cotino, Disney had shared a first look at the model homes designed for the community. While we have previously been given a glimpse at the architecture and inspiration behind the residencies coming to the community, I am happy to report that Disney has unveiled an “incredible” homecoming to Cotino.
A Real-Life Parr House
If you have dreamed of living like a superhero, you could soon get your chance. Inspired by The Incredibles franchise, a real-life Parr House is coming to Cotino, combining the wonder of the Pixar franchise with mid-century modern design.

The Parr House will be part of the community’s Artisan Club, which will host events, gatherings, and celebrations.
Imagineers will use a “rich mix of textures and colors” to bring the film’s aesthetic to life. The house’s interior will feature clean lines, natural light, and functional furniture that have come to define mid-century modern design.

As this is a Disney creation, some creativity will be displayed in the finishes, artwork, and decor. Between the primary bathroom, family kitchen, and open living, this home is perfect for an incredible gathering!
‘Incredible’ Details
Imagineers plan to use props from The Incredibles to infuse the Parr House with a little bit of Disney magic. These will include Sugar Bobs and Fiber O’s cereal, as well as a Parr family calendar on the wall!

To make the Parr House as realistic as possible, Imagineers poured over concept art from The Incredibles. This allowed them to faithfully recreate the details and decorative items that gave the house its personality.
The Parr family’s story is also told through color. The communal areas pay homage to the family’s red, black, and yellow supersuits. Meanwhile, each bedroom is inspired by a different Incredibles character. These include rooms based on Edna Mode, Frozone, Jack-Jack, Violet, and Dash.

Finally, the first-floor art studio was inspired by Cotino itself, which is being envisioned as a creative oasis.
Bringing the Film to Life
To bring the Parr House to life, Imagineers teamed up with homebuilder Davidson Communities.

Together, the team plans to adapt many of the home’s iconic features, including ceiling-to-ceiling windows, which will provide breathtaking views of Cotioino Bay. Other features will include the rockwork in the living room and an elevated patio that will give outdoor events spectacular water and mountain views.
Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney Community, is set to welcome its first residents next year. Hopefully, we will get more updates soon.
