Ewan McGregor to be Honored With a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Award-winning actor and Star Wars legend Ewan McGregor is finally getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Tuesday, September 12, McGregor will be bestowed with the 2,789th star in the Motion Picture category in a special ceremony. On hand for the festivities will be emcee Steve Nissen, Mike Mills and Hayden Christensen.

A Legendary Career
After his breakthrough role in Trainspotting, McGregor’s acting career has been nothing short of legendary. In addition to his work in Star Wars, McGregor has starred in a wide variety of films, including Moulin Rouge!, Black Hawk Down, Angels and Demons, and Christopher Robin.
In television, McGregor has starred in the likes of Fargo, Halston, and A Gentleman in Moscow.
Playing Obi-Wan Kenobi
To Star Wars fans, however, McGregor will always be Obi-Wan Kenobi. The actor assumed the role of Obi-Wan from the late Alex Guiness for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and continues to play the character through Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Twenty-three years after first picking up a lightsaber, McGregor returned as Kenobi in the 2022 Disney+ streaming series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As previously mentioned, McGregor will be joined by his Star Wars cohort Hayden Christensen at next week’s ceremony. It will surely be an event that fans do not want to miss!
