PHOTOS: Take a Look at the Surprising Labor Day Crowds in Disney World
It’s a holiday weekend in Disney World, which usually means one thing: crowds. We’ve seen some interesting crowd levels lately during things like the opening day of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Star Wars Day at Hollywood Studios, and Spring Break back in the spring.
So, what are the crowds like for Labor Day in Disney World? Let’s head over to Magic Kingdom to check them out.
Labor Day Disney World Crowds
Heading into the park, we noticed a lot of people on Main Street, U.S.A.
But, looks can be deceiving, because it didn’t look nearly as crowded facing the other direction.
Crowds in front of Cinderella Castle were decent, but nothing extraordinary.
We moved into Adventureland, where the streets were relatively empty.
It was pretty sparse in this area!
Moving into Frontierland, we saw some more people over here.
And, there was definitely a small crowd in Fantasyland.
Wait times weren’t bad though — “it’s a small world” only had a 5 minute wait!
We did see a lot of people in the area of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The wait time was 60 minutes over here, so not as low as we wish it was!
In Tomorrowland, things were pretty chill near Tomorrowland Speedway.
In fact, Tomorrowland barely had any crowds!
Here’s another look.
Even Space Mountain only had a 20 minute wait.
Speaking of wait times, we checked back in later in the day — around 4:30PM popular rides like Space Mountain only had a 15 minute wait, Peter Pan’s Flight had a 30 minute wait, and Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Pirates of the Caribbean all had a 15 minute wait each.
Keep in mind that tonight is a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom, so the park closes to regular guests at 6PM, which could explain the low crowd levels.
We looked at some of the other parks to see how their crowd levels were. In EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had a 50 minute wait, Frozen Ever After was at 55 minute, Soarin’ was at 10 minutes, and Spaceship Earth was at 5 minutes.
In Hollywood Studios, Tower of Terror had a 35 minute wait, Runaway Railway was at 45 minutes, Slinky Dog Dash was at 75 minutes, and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster was at 50 minutes.
Finally, in Animal Kingdom, Dinosaur had a 45 minute wait, Expedition Everest a 35 minute wait, Flight of Passage a 50 minute wait, and Kilimanjaro Safaris a 5 minute wait.
So, some lines have been decently long today, but nothing too wild! It seems like a relatively slow holiday for Disney. Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
