Josh D’Amaro Previews ‘Disney The Tale of Moana’– Coming to the Disney Treasure This December!
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that we could not be more excited for the launch of the Disney Treasure this December.
The latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line will be inspired by classic Disney tales of adventure and bring with it the amenities, recreation, and customer service that fans have come to expect.

As with every Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Treasure will also host Broadway-caliber entertainment!
‘Disney The Tale of Moana’
When the ship sets sail this December, cruisers will be able to experience an all-new show, Disney The Tale of Moana.
Inspired by the fan-favorite animated film, the new show will re-tell Moana’s heroic journey in a fresh and exciting way.

With just months to go until the Disney Treasure sets out, the cast of Disney The Tale of Moana is hard at work preparing!
Josh D’Amaro Gives an Update
Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro recently visited rehearsals for the new show and reported being amazed at what he saw.
“This is the first theatrical adaptation of ‘Moana,’ and I’m proud of the attention that we’re putting on the story – as well as on the culture of the Pacific Islands,” he said. “ This is a brand-new show that will debut on board the Disney Treasure, setting sail for the first time later this year.”

The cast is currently rehearsing in a 52,000-square-foot facility that includes 19 studios. The space has previously housed more than 150 previous Disney Cruise Line casts.
“Despite not having costumes, sets, makeup, props or lighting in the rehearsals yet, it’s easy to see that this new show is going to be incredible, and I can’t wait for you to see it,” D’Amaro concluded his report.
