The 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is officially underway, and MickeyBlog is live!
This is one of my favorite festivals, and we are bringing you a first look at the unique merchandise, special offerings, and fantastic selection of international foods and drinks.
This year’s exciting festival has the perfect combination of returning favorites, tasty classics, and a selection of new delicious offerings.
Join us as we head to Harvest Hollow and indulge at Bramblewood Bites.
Bramblewood Bites
Bramblewood Bites is located in Harvest Hollow just along the walkway and between World Showcase and Imagination! Pavilion.
This cozy area is brand new to this year’s festival.
It is home to one of the new and highly-anticipated food booths: Bramblewood Bites.
The Bramblewood Bites menu includes cider-brined pork tenderloin with fennel apple slaw; grilled bison with butternut squash puree; and brussel sprouts and root vegetables with dried cranberries, candied pecans and maple bourbon glaze.
The booth also offers a new drink perfect for fall, the Spiced Apple Old Fashioned inspired cocktail with Boyd & Blair Rum.
We were so excited to check out the delicious offerings–here is what we tried!
MickeyBlog Review
We first tried the Cast iron-roasted Brussel Sprouts and Root Vegetables for $5.00. These veggies are FANTASTIC.
They are perfectly seasoned and cooked with the maple bourbon glaze providing the perfect amount of sweetness.
The portion size is great, and the candied pecans have a really nice crunch, creating a great texture and burst of sweetness. We predict that this will be a festival favorite.
We also tried the Spiced Apple Old-Fashioned for $12. While this drink is typically “alcohol-forward” with a strong bourbon, but it was very weak.
This is a great choice if you want to try an old-fashioned without a strong alcohol flavor, but if you go into this looking for the traditional cocktail, you might be disappointed.
Though this drink is “inspired” by an old fashioned, it was still pretty good with a light apple flavor and a hint of sweetness.
Our final bite from the booth was the Grilled Bison with Butternut Squash Puree, Roasted Mushrooms, and Huckleberries Gastrique for $8.75.
This dish is a 10/10 and one of the best offerings at the festival! The bison is cooked perfectly medium rare, very tender, and seared perfectly.
It has a slightly salty taste and comes with roasted mushrooms. We love pairing the butternut squash and huckleberries, and overall, this is a great fall dish!
Overall impression? Everything at this booth has been amazing and we will definitely be back.
