We Ate Pork Rinds & Frozen S’mores for Breakfast at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival
Happy first day of the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! We’re in EPCOT today to try all the new food, check out the new merchandise, and see the special entertainment.
And now, we’re checking out a new food booth at the festival — come along with us!
Festival Favorites
Festival Favorites is located over at CommuniCore Hall in World Celebration. It’s a permanent spot that appears to be swapping out its menu for each EPCOT festival.
For Food & Wine Festival, we’ve got some exciting additions!
For food, we tried the BBQ Pork Rinds served with pimento cheese for $5. This is also an item on Emile’s Fromage Montage!
The pork rinds were super crispy and were covered in a BBQ seasoning rub. These were very tasty and had a slight kick to them!
The pimento cheese is very creamy and not as chunky as some of the more traditional ones you can find throughout the South. But, it was still really good!
The pimento cheese also had a little heat to it. This combined with the pork rinds is a great snack with varying textures and flavors!
We also got the Kielbasa and Potato Pierogis with caramelized onions and sour cream for $6. This had good flavor, but the pierogi does just taste like the ones you can buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. The kielbasa and onions make it a bit more unique!
Also available here is the Key Lime Tart for $4.75.
There’s a bunch of items on the drink list here as well! We tried out the Frozen S’mores for $4.75, which is a non-alcoholic drink made of a chocolate milk shake with marshmallow syrup topped with mini marshmallows and a graham cracker.
This was delicious and surprisingly refreshing! It’s definitely on the sweet side though, so you probably need a bit of a sweet tooth to enjoy this drink.
It’s a great option for when you want something sweet on a hot day at the festival. It has a similar consistency to a chocolate milkshake and that marshmallow syrup is great!
There’s also the Irish Milk Shake over at Festival Favorites for $12.50. This could previously be found at the Ireland booth during the festival. It’s Guiness stout, Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, and vanilla ice cream.
For some beer, you can get the Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen, the Parish Brewing Co. SIPS Cab Franc Strawberry, and the 3 Daughters Brewing Beach Blonde Ale. These are $5.75 for 6 oz. and $9.75 for 12 oz. You can also get them in a beer flight for $10.25.
We tried the Parish Brewing Co. SIPS Cab Franc Strawberry! This was okay, it was a little heavy for a fruit beer, I wouldn’t get it again.
For wine, check out the Goldschmidt ‘Katherine’ Cabernet Sauvignon for $15 or the Martin Ray Chardonnay for $7.
Festival Favorites is a great spot to pick up some popular festival items from over the past years, and the prices are pretty reasonable as well! It’s also nice that this spot opened up before 10AM, when most of the festival booths usually open at 11AM.
Stay tuned for more from EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival!
