Sigourney Weaver Confirms That She Will Appear in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’
Sigourney Weaver is no stranger to space, having starred in both the Alien and Avatar franchises. Soon, however, she will enter a galaxy far, far away when The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters in 2026.
This time around, Weaver won’t be fighting off Xenomorphs but doing battle alongside Din Djarin and Grogu as they set off on their biggest adventure yet.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Waver confirmed that she will be appearing in a Star Wars film and revealed that she recently met the franchise’s biggest star.
“I’m playing a role in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu,'” Weaver confirmed. “I got to meet Grogu for the first time the other day.”
The InSneider previously teased Weaver’s involvement in The Mandalorian & Grogu, though her exact role remains unclear.
What We Know About ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’
When The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives in theaters on May 22, 2026, it will be the first Star Wars film to hit the big screen since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker.
While the film is a continuation of the popular Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, the plot of The Mandalorian and Grogu remains unclear.

What we do know is that the film will be directed by The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau, who will also produce alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni.
Additionally, Temuera Morrison has confirmed that he will not be reprising his role as Boba Fett.

Production on The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to start later this year. Hopefully, we will learn more about the film soon.
