NEW Macatizers Booth Packs Mac & Cheesy Magic at EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
Good morning everyone, from the very first day of the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! We sure are happy to be here!
Right now, our MickeyBloggers are reporting LIVE, enjoying all the delicious sights, sounds, sips and snacks to be savored across the park.
The next stop on this tasty tour is Macatizers, a brand-new kitchen to open here at the festival. Come with us to try it out — we can smell the melty cheese from here!
Macatizers
Located within the spectacular CommuniCore Hall, Macatizers is one of two brand-new booths to appear at the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
Not only does this place boast a particularly punchy name, but it also offers a mouth-watering menu of four mac & cheese dishes, as well as a long list of specialty alcoholic beverages.
Typically, this kitchen would open at 11AM — however, as it’s the first day of the festival, the cookers are on bright and early this morning!
We can’t wait to get in line to try it out, so let’s take a closer look at this incredible menu!
Food
Who doesn’t love macaroni and cheese? There are four unique variations of the dish available here at Macatizers, so let’s take a look!
We’ll start with the classic, their Traditional Macaroni and Cheese. This is topped with herbed panko. It sounds delicious, so of course we had to place an order!
It was lovely to sit inside CommuniCore Hall to enjoy this festival snack, and we were so happy to have something so comforting to start our day!
According to our reporters, this classic dish was cooked to perfection, with that warming cheesy sauce packing the tiniest kick for flavor. We were big fans of the corkscrew pasta too, which took the sauce perfectly! This cost $5.50.
Mixing it up, we also decided to order the Cheesesteak Macaroni and Cheese, which comes loaded with shaved beef, peppers, onions, and breadcrumbs.
Costing $6.50, this hearty dish was packed with a perfect amount of meat, peppers, and onions, all cooked beautifully to create one generous portion. We’d definitely order this again!
In case these options don’t appeal, there’s also a fancy-sounding Truffle Macaroni and Cheese on the menu for $6.50 and, for those following plant-based diets, we’re impressed to see an IMPOSSIBLE Chili Macaroni and Cheese option on the menu too. Served with sour cream and cheddar, that one also costs $6.50. Lovely!
Now, it’s worth noting that all these mouth-watering food options here at Macatizers are part of Emile’s Fromage Montage, the cheesiest food tour of the year! You can read all about that in our post here — it’s not to be missed out on!
Drinks
If drinks are what you’re looking for, you’ll be impressed to hear there are a staggering eleven items available here at the Macatizers bar!
If you’re a beer drinker, there’s the Vinifera Velvet Lager from Crooked Can Brewing Company, the Raspberry Shine Summer Wheat Ale from Southern Tier Brewing Co., or the Kentucky Pumpkin Bourbon Barrel Ale from Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company. Can’t decide? There’s also a Beer Flight option!
If you prefer wine, the selection includes a Chardonnay from Terrazas de los Andes Reserva, the Bricks & Roses Rosé from Klinker Brick, the Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer Bros, a Sauvignon Blanc from Knights Bridge, a Rosé from St. Supéry Domaine, and the 50th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus. Of course, a Wine Flight is also available!
