Brew-Wing Lab
Located at The Odyssey, Brew-Wing Lab offers a variety of zany concoctions and one VERY popular crowd-pleaser: the chicken wing!
Here, you’ll find several varieties of chicken wings, including Traditional Buffalo Wings with celery and ranch, Garlic-Parmesan Wings, and Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings. This year, the booth also offers a BRAND-NEW take on this classic dish: the Unnecessarily Spicy Yet Extremely Tasty Carolina Reaper Pepper Curry Wings! These are served with a refreshing, creamy cucumber raita.
On the beverage menu, you’ll find a handful of returning favorites, along with SIX new drink options. These include 3 Daughters Brewing Pickle Hard Seltzer, a non-alcoholic Pickle Milkshake, and the Coppertail Brewing Smoked Lager, among others.
Review
Brew-Wing Lab sure drew a crowd today, but our MickeyBlog team was happy to wait in line for some tasty Muppet-inspired snacks.
Our team started with the non-alcoholic Pickle Milk Shake ($6.00), which proved to be just as…..weird….as it was last year.
Oddly, the best way to describe this is a vanilla milkshake mixed with salt and vinegar chips. It’s not bad, exactly — just different.
Next, we tried the Fried Pickle Spears ($5.75), which are served warm with Dill Ranch.
These are very tasty, with pleasantly crispy breading. They’re heavy on the dill flavor — and a little light on the salt, in our opinion — but they’re definitely worth a try during your Food & Wine Festival visit.
The Fried Pickle Spears are only served with a drizzle of Ranch dressing — but if you require MORE sauce, you can always grab extra at the counter.
The last food item on our list was the Unnecessarily Spicy Yet Extremely Tasty Carolina Reaper Pepper Curry Wings ($7.75).
Unfortunately, these really ARE unnecessarily spicy. Also, unfortunately, they’re not exactly “extremely tasty,” unless you count FIRE as an actual flavor!
These are SO hot, and we tasted nothing but the Carolina Reaper Sauce. Sadly, we can’t really recommend these unless you’re ready for some SERIOUS spice.
Don’t Miss Out!
