Here’s EVERYTHING Coming to the Disneyland Resort This Holiday Season!
The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! Of course, we’re talking about the holiday season!
Disney takes their holiday celebration seriously–so seriously, that they pack the festive season with an overwhelming (in the best way possible) amount of offerings and experiences. And, to tease the upcoming season, DisneyParksBlog just revealed all the holiday happenings coming to the Disneyland Resort this year!
The Holiday Season at the Disneyland Resort
The Holiday season hits the Disneyland resort on November 15th, 2024, and runs through January 6, 2025!
We already know that November 15th–the day the holiday season kicks off–is also the day Tiana’s Bayou Adventure debuts in Disneyland Park. (Talk about a busy day.)
But there’s so much more to look forward to this holiday season! Let’s check it all out!
NEW Experiences
Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park will host a special experience with Santa Claus and select characters! Here, guests can participate in cookie decorating, craft making, storytelling, and listening to holiday music!
Santa will also return to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure for some pictures, along with photo opportunities that will take place in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel through December 24th.
While it’s new, we already knew about the seasonal looks Mickey and Minnie are debuting during the holidays. But they’re not the only ones–the other pals will get special, festive fits too!
November 22nd, 2024 through January 1st, 2025, Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail Pursuit will debut in Downtown Disney! Much like Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, the area will be filled with ornaments, hidden throughout the trees and lights. With the purchase of an activity map and stickers, you can redeem a participation prize!
A Disney Eats Foodie Guide is in the works, but for now, Disney teased that “dozens of limited-time, holiday-themed food and beverages” would come to the resort! Of course, the iconic Mickey Gingerbread will make a return, as well as the Holiday Stainless Steel Tumbler.
Starting November 19th, “Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays!” will hit the Disneyland Hotel, and for the first time ever, Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch will come to the Storyteller’s Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian. (Think seasonal decor, holiday-themed meals, and characters in their holiday jammies.) Reservations will be available at a later date.
New holiday merchandise will hit the shops, including the Mickey Mouse Family Christmas, Holiday Red, and the Snowman collections!
Returning Experiences
Of course, all the holiday décor will return to the resort!
Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour will also return, providing guests with holiday stories about Walt and his family, holiday treats, and reserved viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade.”
“Believe…in Holiday Magic” will return–along with its “snowfall”…
…while “World of Color – Season of Light” presented by Pandora Jewelry will also return to Disney California Adventure.
Attraction overlays will also return, so guests can ride on “it’s a small world” Holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree!
Festival of Holidays is returning to Disney California Adventure, highlighting holiday foods and celebrations from various cultures! There will be new menu items at the Festive Food Marketplaces, as well as at select dining locations around the park. The Sip and Savor Pass will also return, with a four-coupon and eight-coupon option.
There will be live entertainment and music, as well as “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” Cavalcade. Oh–and festival-themed merchandise, of course!
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! will take over Paradise Gardens, bringing crafts, live music, menu items, and Latin American decorations to guests! The Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party will take place on select days, with Mirabel and Miguel street performance encounters filling the area on the party’s off days.
Along with the debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the reimagined merchandise locations, Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club will also open!
All of the resort hotels will have their own festive in-room celebrations, activities, and décor, including the gingerbread house that takes over the lobby in Disney’s Grand Californian! Underneath the Tree Signature Massage and Warmth of Holiday Foot Treatment will also be offered at Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian, bringing the holiday magic to your spa day!
