Review
Served warm with a sweet and tangy cream cheese icing, the Freshly-baked Carrot Cake ($4.75) was the perfect way to kick off our visit to Milled & Mulled!
The delicious cake is moist and includes soft carrot pieces and other subtle spices. The result is a FANTASTIC dessert that’s just perfect for a fall festival!
We also tried the Pear & Almond Frangipane Pate Brisee ($5.25), which consists of buttery, flaky pie crust and sweet pear filling.
While the pears are caramelized with sugar and almonds, the almond taste is extremely subtle. It’s all topped off with a sprinkling of sugar, but the overall effect is mild and not overly sweet.
We’d definitely go back for another!
Finally, the Boursin Fig & Balsamic Cheesecake ($5.25) is served with fig jam and pomegranate.
With a soft, gingerbread-like crust, the cheesecake offers spiced fall flavors and a creamy texture. The fig is definitely the prominent flavor, with the balsamic taking a backseat. Walnuts top it off with just a little bit of crunch!
Overall, Milled & Mulled was a huge hit for our team!
