Naturally, we’ve spent the day perusing all the exclusive festival merchandise and sampling all the tasty treats and scrumptious snacks we can get our hands on!
Of course, we couldn’t help but stop by the NEW Forest & Field booth, which features some seriously intriguing dishes.
Let’s check it out!
Forest & Field
Located between World Showcase and the Imagination! pavilion, Forest & Field boasts hearty snacks that may as well SCREAM “fall.”
The booth offers three food items, including the Pumpkin Marscapone Ravioli with sage-brown butter, pecorino cheese, and hazelnut praline and the Burrata with seasonal fall fruit, spiced pecans, apple puree, and fig vinaigrette. You’ll also find the BRAND NEW Autumn Chili, which consists of bison, lamb, pork belly, root vegetables, jalapeño cornbread, smoked cheddar, and Crème Fraîche.
Here’s a look at the full menu:
Forest & Field also offers three new beverage options: Lievland Bushvine Pinotage, Piper-Sonoma Brut, and Brewery Ommegang All Hallows Treat Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout.
Review
When we stopped by the NEW booth to sample the goods, we brought our pal Remy along for the ride!
We started with the Autumn Chili ($7.75), which is made with bison, lamb, and pork belly, along with root vegetables, Jalapeño cornbread, smoked cheddar cheese, and creme fraiche.
This is a very hearty dish that’s best enjoyed on cooler days. The meat is tender, well-spiced, and flavorful – but is probably a little heavy for hot days.
Meanwhile, the Burrata ($5.50) is served with seasonal fall fruit, spiced pecans, apple puree, and fig vinaigrette.
The Burrata is lightly salted and well-complimented by the accoutrements. We definitely enjoyed this one!
Finally, the Pumpkin Marscapone Ravioli was a bit of a miss for us. Served with sage brown sugar, pecorino cheese, and hazelnut praline, we were really looking forward to this dish.
Unfortunately, the ravioli was on the dry side and would definitely benefit from more sauce.
Don’t Miss Out!
You can taste all of these items for yourself at Forest & Field during the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
