There’s a Hit & a Miss at the Food & Wine Festival Canada Booth This Year!
Hello everyone, from the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
The sun is shining, the World Showcase is thriving, and your MickeyBloggers are right in the midst of the tastiest event the park has to offer. Want to hear all about the best of the fest? Well, you’re in the right place!
Canada
Right now, our reporters are over by the Canada pavilion, where the country’s marketplace booth has been calling our name ever since those festival menus were released.
A consistent hit throughout all the EPCOT festivals, the Canada kitchen is always cooking up something rich and hearty…so let’s check out their offerings for the 2024 Food & Wine event!
Food
There are two different food items on offer at this kitchen for 2024. The first is a classic — the Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup.
Served with a tasty pretzel roll, this soup costs $6. Of course, we had to place an order, and our reporters were thrilled to find the soup tasted as good as always here at the festival! A consistent winner, for sure!
The second dish available is a dreamy Filet Mignon. A gluten and wheat-friendly option, this steak is served with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and butter made with Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs.
Unfortunately, this dish was a bit more of a miss than a hit for us. Despite costing an expensive $9.75, we found the meat was on the dry side and hard to chew, as though it was a little bit too well done.
This was certainly a shame as the dish is often a fan favorite at the festival, so we hope the recipe improves as the event continues!
Drinks
If you’re looking to wash all that Canadian goodness down with a drink, there are two alcoholic options also available at the booth.
First is the Cabernet Sauvignon from Château des Charmes. Then, there’s also the Audio/Visual Lager from Collective Arts Brewing, which is what our reporters opted to order today!
A refreshing sip to enjoy with this Canadian fare, for sure!
