NEW The Lion King Suite Debuts at Hilton New York Times Square

And, one major hotel brand is combining an iconic Disney movie with a luxury suite. Let’s take a look!
The Lion King Royal Suite
Hilton Hotels is celebrating The Lion King on Broadway! The Hilton in Times Square of New York City has just debuted their The Lion King Royal Suite.

The suite has been curated by Broadway’s top dressing room designer, Devin Sparkles Design, and draws inspiration from The Lion King on Broadway. The suite is in a very convenient location — it’s only three blocks away from Minskoff Theatre where the show is running.

“Each detail of The Lion King’s Royal Suite has been meticulously curated to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience completely inspired by Disney Theatrical Group’s iconic musical,” said Thomas Caska, general manager, Hilton New York Times Square.

The space is a one-king one-bedroom deluxe suite that will immerse you in the Pride Lands. When you arrive, you will be transported to the Serengeti with details from the Broadway show. This includes things like large woven basket art, plants similar to the sweeping grass across Africa’s plains, hand-painted Rafiki-inspired patterns on the furnishings, and a large Rafiki sketch print.
You will also see fabrics used in the musical on soft goods like rugs, pillows, and bedding. Wood touches decorating the space as well.

Check out the Pan-Asian-inspired woven baskets on the walls, bird puppets flying from the ceiling, and hand-painted patterned chairs throughout the suite. And, don’t miss those framed costume sketches from the musical!

In the bathroom, you will find a jungle oasis with artificial plants that are contrasted by the warm Serengeti elements.

If you want to stay here yourself, the Royal Suite experience package includes the following:

The other Disney-themed suite at this hotel is the Aladdin’s Times Square Palace Suite, which is themed to Aladdin the Musical. This one debuted last summer and was done by the same designer.
