Muppet*Vision 3D Has Been Removed From Extended Evening Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Amid rumors that Muppet*Vision 3D will be removed to make way for the previously announced Monsters, Inc. area, the fan-favorite film has now been removed from the list of attractions that will be open during Extended Evening Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Just last week, Disney announced that Extended Evening Hours would return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning on September 25, giving resort guests more time in the park.
As part of their announcement, we reported on the list of attractions that would be available during the extended hours. Among these was Muppet*Vision 3D.

Now, six days later, the attraction has been removed from the Evening Extended Hour attractions list. The current list includes:
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Toy Story Mania!
Nothing Has Been Announced Yet
While Muppet fans are obviously concerned about the latest development, it should be noted that nothing seemingly changed over the last six days. The new Monsters, Inc. land was announced earlier this month at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, and to this point, nothing has been confirmed about the future of the Muppets.
It is quite possible that Disney simply decided there would not be demand for Muppet*Vision 3D during Extended Evening Hours, which typically cater to an older audience.
Still, with Muppet fans already walking on eggshells, today’s update is not promising news.
