VIDEO: Can Donald Duck Keep His Cool During His ‘Hot Ones’ Appearance?
In celebration of his 90th anniversary, Donald Duck made a historic appearance on Hot Ones this week.
The first cartoon character to appear on the popular talk show, Donald finally got some time in the spotlight.
According to Donald, he decided to appear on the show after bragging to Daisy that he could handle the spicy challenge. Luckily, he had the support of Mickey!

“Mickey Mouse and his friends, including Donald Duck, have always been a part of popular culture, so it only made sense that Donald and Mickey appear on one of the most recognized internet shows with celebrity guests,” said Tim Pennoyer, director, Brand Marketing, The Walt Disney Company.
Donald Was Animated by Legendary Animator Eric Goldberg
For his big Hot Ones appearance, Donald was animated by a Walt Disney Animation Studios team led by Eric Goldberg.

The legendary animator is perhaps best known for animating Genie in Disney’s Aladdin and directing Pocahontas.
Disney Legend Tony Anselmo voiced Donald in his latest appearance, alongside Bret Iwan, who voiced Mickey.

“It’s been a great honor to direct two of our greatest stars, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, on this special episode of Hot Ones. Of course, Donald can get a bit cranky at times, but all of the artists involved loved animating him!” said Goldberg. “It was a blast working with Sean Evans and the ‘Hot Ones’ team, and the voices of Donald, Tony Anselmo, and Mickey, Bret Iwan.”
