‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’ Is Now The Most-Watched Disney Channel Original Movie EVER on Disney+
It’s been nearly a decade since Disney’s Descendants took the world by storm — but the instant success of the series’ latest installment, Descendants: The Rise of Red, proves the franchise is only gaining momentum.

In case you missed it, Descendants: The Rise of Red debuted last month on Disney+, shocking no one when it garnered 6.7 million views in its first THREE days of streaming. The franchise has only grown in popularity since the first film was released, and it’s certainly gained plenty of fans – and traction – along the way.
In fact, the trailer for Descendants: The Rise of Red was viewed 86 million times in just 10 days. Clearly, a whole lot of Descendants fans were EXTREMELY eager to see the franchise’s fourth installment.

It’s been a month since the July 12th release of Descendants: The Rise of Red, and the film is now the most-watched Disney Channel Original Movie on Disney+…EVER.

The ‘Descendants’ Saga Continues in ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’
With catchy music, impressive dance routines, and plenty of villainous offspring, each of Disney’s Descendants movies proved to be uber-popular among fans.

The fourth installment stars Kylie Cantrall as Red, the daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts (played by Rita Ora).
When The Queen of Hearts plots to overthrow Auradon, Red must join forces with Cinderella’s daughter Chloe (Malia Baker) to thwart her mother’s plans.

Descendants: The Rise of Red also stars Dara Reneé as Uliana, Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget/Young Queen of Hearts, Morgan Dudley as Ella/Young Cinderella, Joshua Colley as Young Hook, Peter Lindell as Morgie, and Jeremy Swift as Principal Merlin, among others.
China Anne McClain returns as Uma and Melanie Paxon returns as Fairy Godmother, while the iconic Brandy reprises her role as Cinderella.
